Bogota | Flower Farm

I didn't know before that Bogota was home to the 2nd largest producer of flowers in the world. 95% of the flowers are exported from the farm to almost every corner of the world. The remaining 5% are supposed to be the worst of the batch. The worst of the best is still pretty amazing to me.

Los Loosers is a vegan, Mexican restaurant based in La Roma, Mexico City. Mariana is the owner, chef and manager. Every day she gets up early to go north of Mexico City to the wholesale food market to pick ingredients for a dish that day. Everything, down to the garnishes, is hand selected and meticulously filtered. Quality is the end game here.

Mexico City | Bosque de Chapultepec

As I make my way towards the east side of the larger pond, off the path, there's a waterway leading towards a flock of small cranes. They are picking at the water. Their feathers rustle to clean their plumage. In an otherwise sleepy environment, they seem to be the only other ones awake this morning. I liked the way the sun reflected off the water they bathed in. It's like they were washing themselves with the light.

New York | Time Out

I've lived in New York for 6 years. When I got here, the streets literally sparkled. They still do actually - take a walk along 5th avenue from 57th street downtown headed towards Saks. Look down; but be careful of oncoming foot traffic. I think back to a joke that my friend made a few years back. "See these sparkles? It's the shattered dreams of everyone that didn't make it here."
